Book Reviews
Aaron's fantastic learning

Image result for the outsiders
This year we read The Outsiders by SE Hinton.  We read reviews about the book and found that some reviews were very positive about the book and some reviews were very negative about the book.

Our teacher wanted us to be good at persuasive writing, so we did some Education Perfect assignments on persuasion, then did some paragraph work on persuading people if dogs make
better pets than cats.

Dogs are better than cats because dogs are more intelligent.
You can teach a dog to bring a stick back. Cats would never bring a stick back.
Dogs can sniff out drugs, explosives and they stop food from coming into the country and bringing in diseases.

When I had a dog, it was called Charlie and he was black and brown.  He could rollover. I have never seen a cat that could be taught to roll over.
Many people train dogs to do all sorts of intelligent things in the world.
The world is a safer place because of intelligent dogs.

  1. Kia ora Aaron,
It is great to see you blogging and I really enjoyed your post. Like you I am a fan of dogs over cats, a dog has a master however our cats seem to think we are their servants.
What sort of dog was Charlie? We have a 14 week old golden labrador called Bruno he is very cool however does not know how to roll over yet.
I look forward to reading more of your blogposts,
    Nga mihi,

  2. Great blog Aaron! So pleased to see you blogging and sharing your learning with others:-)

I have a 1 year old puppy called Teddy, he is a bichon and super intelligent. He taught himself to use the catdoor to go outside for toilet within the first week of coming to his new home. I guess he decided it was a better option than poos and wees on the carpet! He makes a really good rat/ mouse catcher which is useful as I live in an old villa.

I look forward to seeing your blog posts in food as well.

    Great job Aaron:-)

  3. Great effort Aaron in your first Mairehau blog post. Charlie sounds like he was an intelligent pet. Our dogs are way more intelligent than the cats we've had. I have four Chihuahuas - the mother is Loulou, the father dog is Pedro, and we kept two puppies out of a litter of 5, who are called Aura and Paloma. Our dogs are way more intelligent than the cats we had. By the way Aaron, you've had more comments on your blog than anyone else to date in 10KW.

  4. Kia ora Aaron,

I enjoyed reading your blogg. It seemed you had a close connection with your dog Charlie. I also have a dog, she is very old, but very much part of our family. Although it seemed that our dog had more intelligence than our cat, our cat was just as much part of the family. Our cat is clever in its own way for example keeping our place rid of unwanted mice.

Have you thought about a cat's intelligence? I look forward to reading more of your blogs.
